Editor/Project Manager, Freelance
Conceived and edited a series of three eBooks based on the Cult Movies series by Danny Peary. In addition to editorial duties, the project entailed producing sell sheets, writing catalog copy, and coordinating opportunities with publicity and marketing departments, including the production of a fourth eBook as a giveaway at Comic-Con International: San Diego.
Commissioned by the New Atlantic Independent Book Association and IndieBound to produce the Eat. Sleep. Read. desk calendar. Oversaw all aspects of the production, including editing the manuscript, budgeting, copyrighting, and hiring designers, copyeditors, and printer. The 10,000-copy print-run sold out completely.
Book & Calendar Editor, Workman Publishing
Worked as a full-time and later freelance book and calendar editor for Workman Publishing company. Book acquisitions included Rules of Thumb by Tom Parker, which sold more than 90,000 copies, and The Order of Things by Barbara Ann Kipfer.
Edited Page-A-Day® and wall calendars including the popular Bad Cat series, which sold more than1.5 million copies. Other titles included Bad Dog, Incredible Fishing Stories, Baseball Trivia, and Golf Digest 365 Golf Holes, Cynthia Hart's Victoriana, and 3,650 Things To Be Happy About.
